I love digital audio, specifically podcasts. I listen to them every morning on my way to work! I think this is a great sign that students will likely listen to them too. There are so many ways that we could use digital audio in the classroom. Students could listen to audio books or they could listen to a podcast related to the unit they are working on. I also think that it could be a great tool in a virtual classroom. Any type of personalized audio in a virtual classroom will help students feel like they are more than just another face on the screen and they will feel like they are truly getting to know their teacher. You could read books to them over audio or explain assignments or even just say hello and check in on them.
Hello,
ReplyDeleteI also listen to podcast when I drive. I love being bale to listen to anything anytime. I also thinking audio books are a great tool! Especially for students who learn auditorily.
I love the idea of having personalize audio in a virtual classroom. Personally I listen to audiobooks more than I do podcasts. I just got into podcasts this past year. Do you have any podcast recommendations?
ReplyDeleteGreetings Mercedes,
ReplyDeleteI have also listened to podcasts while driving, specially on my way to college. I think they are pretty helpful and one could learn a lot from them. I love the idea of including Digital Audio in virtual learning because it really does get students more involved. Good work!
