I actually enjoyed making different Gos online. It was definitely
a way to be creative. I really like that when creating the organizers online,
they are clean and organized and very professional looking. I think there can
be much more detail on a digitally made GO as well. With templates, creating
the GOs online is much quicker, you can choose to insert your own info or start
from scratch. Even starting from scratch online is quicker and easier than non-digitally
because everything is already to size. No making perfect circles or measuring
with rulers. I think the only time I would
make a non-digital GO would be when creating one with students, or having
students create one themselves, that way they feel more included in the process
rather than just watching the teacher do everything. I think my only real
concern would be printing them out. You would either have to keep them small or
print them out in pieces to make it large
I think Graphic Organizers are a great tool. You could use
them to teach new information, or hang them around the classroom as a reminder
for old information. I love that they are flexible and you can use them in
every subject imaginable. As I said before GOs can be made by students as well
as an activity, though I think with this one it would be non-digital, it could be
a digital activity.
Great Post! I Had very similar qualities of the Gos that I liked. Using them makes it so much easier and looks better in my opinion since they can be done neatly and quickly.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with what you said. I think using non-digital only when doing a quick GO with the students makes a lot of sense, I mean we already have technology and students use it constantly, so we might as well just use it for educational purposes.
